Albert’s father was a carpenter born in Germany, his mother Sarah was born in America and died in 1901 in London. Albert was the last of seven children all born in London. Albert was a pupil at the Merchant Taylors School in Ashwell.
Frederick attended the Merchant Taylors School. Frederick’s probate record states he was of Ridlands, Ashwell, Baldock.

Walter was born at Guilden Morden Cambridgeshire in the second quarter 1882, the eldest son of Walter and Annie (nee Cole) Picking of Ashwell, Hertfordshire. He was a pupil at the Merchant Taylors School in Ashwell
John was born in 3rd quarter 1881 at Ashwell, Hertfordshire, the eldest son of Samuel and Rebecca (nee Huffer) Worboys.
