Agricultural Work by Pupils from Ashwell in WWII

From Sharron Waller ( nee Brown)

My mother – Pamela Brown (nee Horlock) was an evacuee to Ashwell for the duration of WW2 and remained in the village until 1971 when our family emigrated to Brisbane Australia.

I recently did some family tree research and found some photos online that are held in the Imperial War Museum taken around Ashwell of evacuees undertaking agricultural tasks. Unfortunately my mum is not in them but she recognises the ploughman and horses! I thought it might be an appropriate link to list on your website hence this email.
