Raymond was born on 28 September 1989 at Newnham, Hertfordshire only son of Ernest William and Florence Fanny (nee Gray) Brown. He was a pupil at the Merchant Taylors School in Ashwell, Hertfordshire.
Percy was born in Ashwell on 4 February 1890, second son of Frederick and Mary Ann (nee Chalkley) Bryant. Percy was a pupil atthe Merchant Taylors School in Ashwell.
David was the fourth son of Samuel and Ruth (nee Hayden), born in Thriplow, Cambridgeshire on 29 November 1887. He was a pupil of the Merchant Taylors School in Ashwell.
