An Introduction to our in-house Resources

New Computer for the Museum 1990

Ashwell Village Museum is home not only to a large collection of artefacts from Ashwell and the surrounding area but also to a Resource Centre which was established in 2010, partly with a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

In Person Help

Please contact us if you have any queries. Peter Greener the Curator and a group of local volunteers are there to help you.

We are usually in the museum on Tuesday afternoons from 2.30 to 5.00 but please get in touch before you come. Or to arrange a mutually convenient time email: enquiries@ashwellmuseum.org.uk or call Peter on 01462 742956

Electronic Resources

Much is available on this website but there is much more that can be consulted in the museum or by permission for specific requests. For instance we hold Parish Records, Electoral Rolls, a Graveyard Survey, and buildings information.
