Twin Cottage

This cottage was built in about 1880 as one of a pair of ‘two up, two down’ cottages. It was formerly known as Hollyhock Cottage and, like many Ashwell properties, it still has hollyhocks growing outside.

Robert ‘the Bounce’ Skerman, a well-known village character, was born in this house and his dog is buried in the garden.
