At 4 pm on Sunday 13 June 2010 a Strawberry Tea was held in the Ashwell United Reformed Churchyard.  This was one of the events held to raise funds for the hall refurbishment; the work had already started as can be seen in one of the photos.

After a little difficulty a gazebo was erected to provide shelter for the Barlesworth Clarinets, who provided music while tea was served.

The delicious homemade cakes and, of course, strawberries and cream were provided and served from the vestry by the ladies of the church as the hall kitchen was out of action due to the refurbishment

A very pleasant afternoon was enjoyed by all.
