Nothing is known of Frederick’s military history except that he enlisted on 10th April 1916 and served with the Royal Army Service Corps,, Motorised Transport Division, Regimental Number 170361.

It is not known when Frederick died.

He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

He is commemorated on the St Mary’s Church Ashwell Roll of Honour.

Frederick was the only son of Abraham and Elizabeth (nee Tapping) Walker, born in the 1st quarter 1889 at Caxton District, Cambridgeshire. Various censuses show his birth as Orwell, Caxton or Wimpole, all in the same area of Cambridgeshire. At the age of 12 Frederick was living in Ashwell, Hertfordshire and was a pupil at the Merchant Taylors School in Ashwell. The 1911 census shows him living in Surbiton, Surrey.

It is not known if Frederick married or had children.
