Renovation Open Day

Saturday 31st August 10 to 11am

On Saturday 31st August  10 to 11 am we will welcoming visitors to view and discuss with the experts the renovation work being carried out on the museum.

On site will be :     Peter Rawlings, Architect and project director

                            Les Hopton, from the contractors, F A  Valiant & Son

                            Trudi Hughes, Historic England

You will be able to find out how and why the restoration was needed, the principles behind the planned work and the prospects of it lasting another 100 years.

At this point in time it will be a good opportunity to view the bare but mostly repaired timber-frame before plastering begins in earnest.
