50, 60, 75 and 90 Years of the Museum
By Peter Greener
Birthday Parties are off for our 90th so we have sent a card to every Ashwell household.
Our 'Live Advent Window' in 2020 is '90 Images of the Museum' Come and look through the windows to see how artists and photographers have reacted to the building.
As a Birthday present to all you can download a searchable pdf of the booklet 'I Was Born in the High Street' from the 50th Anniversary
50th Anniversary
At a party in the school we invited a few Ashwell worthies whose memories stretched back (almost) to 1930 to tell us their stories of the village. This was recorded and then transcribed into the book: I was Born in the High Street which you can now download and read.
60th Anniversary
We had a cake and celebration in the School Hall and we still had both the founders with us.
75th Anniversary
We produced the Ashwell Flashback DVD. Which brought together many of our historic films of Ashwell dating from 1937 to 1985. You can still buy a copy.
